Vahana Puja when people worship their vehicles as well as cars, scooters, and motor bikes. During Vahana Puja all form of vehicles, that are in use, are decorated with vermilion, garlands, mango leaves and banana sapling and idolized. Most significantly during Vahana Puja a white pumpkin is adorned with vermilion and turmeric and smashed in front of the vehicle as a custom to induce rid of all sorts of evils. It is also called Ayudha Puja means Shastra Puja and Astra Puja.
