As per ancient texts when Lord Vishnu was incarnated as Sri Rama, Lord established Shiva lingam at Rameshwaram before crossing the ocean. He performed Rudrabhishek to express his devotion towards Lord Shiva. This Pooja, where Lord Shiva is worshiped in His Rudra form, is hailed by all Vedic scriptures as one of the greatest Poojas to remove all evils, to achieve all wishes and for all round prosperity and peace. It is an abhishek /puja performed for Lord Shiva and it’s very auspicious to perform.

Rudra Pooja is an ancient practice followed in India since time immemorial. ‘Rudra’ means that ‘Shiva – the Benevolent’, ‘ the Destroyer of Evil’. ‘Pooja’ means which is born out of fullness. Through this Pooja one can aim for inner peace and fulfillment. During this Pooja, Lord Shiva is worshipped in his Rudra form.
